REDONDO BEACH (KTLA) -- A man who claimed to be a victim of road rage was arrested for suspicion of operating an indoor pot farm after leading investigators to his home in Redondo Beach.

Jeffrey Henderson, 33, was arrested Wednesday after Redondo Beach police received an anonymous tip that Henderson was growing marijuana in his home.

California Highway Patrol officials were serving an arrest warrant on Henderson at a home he rented on the 3500 block of Rindge Lane when they discovered over 600 plants and an elaborate collection of drug paraphernalia.

Henderson initially called 911 dispatchers on Jan. 7 to report an incident on the 405 Freeway near Venice Boulevard in which he was a victim of road rage.

According to CHP, when officers arrived at his home to collect more information, they smelled marijuana from his car and arrested Henderson for possession for sale after finding 3 pounds of pot and $2,000 in cash.

Estimated damage to the home, which has not yet been deemed safe to return to, could be in the tens of thousands, CHP investigators said.
