LOS ANGELES-- A man is suspected of driving under the influence after he crashed his car all the way into a restaurant, hurting one person inside.
At around 8:20 p.m. the motorist careened into the El Atacor restaurant at 3520 North Figueroa Street, driving his dark red Toyota Camry all the way into the restaurant, according to officials at the Los Angeles Police Department, Central Traffic Division.
Restaurant owner Jose Felis Flores says the driver smashed straight through the restaurant's glass entrance and barreled right into the front counter, hurting one of the customers inside.
The customer suffered minor injuries, officials said, and was transported along with the driver to a hospital.
The motorist is suspected of driving under the influence, police officials said.
The incident is under investigation.
