RIVERSIDE, Calif. ( KTLA) -- Police have issued a warning for female students at Riverside City College after a suspected peeping Tom was seen in at least one campus restroom.
A female student told police that she went into a restroom inside the Quadrangle around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 and noticed all but one seat was covered in urine.
She used the clean stall and then noticed a hand holding a cell phone coming from under the next stall.
The woman ran out of the bathroom and contacted authorities.
The suspect is described as African-American, about 5-foot-11, weighing 170 pounds with sharp facial features, including a pointed chin, and long, messy hair with a pony tail.
He was wearing a white baseball cap, a light-colored jacket with several colorful patches on it and light-colored jeans.
Students are being encouraged to walk in groups and avoid dark areas at night.
Police are offering escorts from the campus parking lots.
Anyone who spots the suspect is asked to call campus police at (951) 222-8171.
