ROSEMEAD -- A man and woman in their twenties have been shot to death in a possible a murder-suicide in Rosemead, according to sheriff's officials.
The shooting was reported just after midnight at a home in the 2600 block of Earle Avenue, said Sgt. Roberta Granek of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Temple Station.
The victims, both Asian, had dated and broke up about three months ago, according to investigators.
The couple had apparently gone skiing together earlier in the day and came back to the home, where the man lived, to socialize.
Family members had gone to sleep and awoke to the sound of gunshots. They went downstairs and discovered the two victims, officials said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man later died at the hospital, according to sheriff's officials. Both had been shot in the head.
No suspect was being sought in the shooting, and a handgun was recovered at the scene, authorities said.
It was not immediately known who fired the deadly shots.
