SANTA BARBARA (KTLA) -- The Coast Guard and Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol rescued a family of four after their sailboat broke free of its mooring in Santa Barbara early Sunday, officials said.
A rescue swimmer was lowered onto the deck of the vessel from an MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter sent from Air Station Los Angeles.
The family -- 2 adults and 2 children, including a six-month-old baby -- was then safely transferred onto a harbor patrol boat. No injuries were reported.
Video of the rescue was shot from a camera attached to the helmet of a Coast Guard rescue swimmer.
According to the Coast Guard, there were wind gusts of 30-40 knots with sea swells between 6-8 feet at the time of the incident.
