SAN FERNANDO, Calif. (KTLA) -- The acting San Fernando police chief is in hot water for allegedly fixing a ticket for a high-level aide to a local congressman.

It's the latest in a series of scandals to rock San Fernando politics.

A video was posted on YouTube of an officer making the traffic stop last November.

The officer wrote a ticket to Fred Anthony Flores, who is a top aide to Rep. Howard Berman.

It's alleged that Jeffrey Eley interceded to make the ticket go away.

Eley was placed on paid leave on Jan. 19 during an investigation into the incident.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is also trying to figure out who leaked the police car video.

Eley is the acting San Fernando police chief in place of Tony Ruelas.

Ruelas is being investigated for having an affair with a police cadet.

Additionally, in Dec. 2011, San Fernando Mayor Mario Hernandez admitted he was having an affair with Councilmember Maribel De La Torre.

Residents have initiated a number of recall petitions to get rid of Hernandez and several councilmembers.
