SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTLA) -- Three people are dead after a shooting inside a parking garage at San Jose State University, officials said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday on campus.
Two shooting victims were found dead on the fifth floor of the garage, University spokeswoman Pat Lopes Harris told CNN. A third person was pronounced dead at a hospital, Harris said.
It was not immediately known whether the victims were students.
A motive in the shooting is under investigation, however, police do not believe it was gang-related or robbery-motivated.
Harris said a campus alert was sent out about an hour after the original call was received.
Some 30,000 students attend San Jose State University.
