LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have confirmed broadcaster Vin Scully will return to the booth for his 61st season in 2010.
Scully announced plans last month to return for another season before deciding his future next fall.
Scully, who turned 82 on Sunday, said he still loves the job he's had with the team for 60 years, but that it's hard to be away from his wife during a long season.
He entered the Hall of Fame in 1982.
Scully's tenure with the Dodgers is the longest of any current sports broadcaster with the same team.
He calls all nine innings of the team's television broadcasts, while the first three innings of his games are simulcast on the radio.
