SEATTLE (KTLA) - A woman who allegedly stole a Chevy work truck with a cherry picker led police on a high-speed chase through Seattle.
Police believe the woman found the keys in an Elcon truck that was parked, then started the truck and drove off.
A King County sheriff's deputy spotted the truck heading north out of the city, where the woman turned around and began driving back toward Seattle.
By the time she turned around, the woman was being chased by the deputy, a Washington State Patrol trooper, and officers from both Seattle and Shoreline police departments.
The woman eventually entered a Home Depot parking lot, where she crashed into a light pole and came to a stop.
According to a deputy at the scene, the woman was laughing when she was pulled out of the truck. She suffered cuts to her face and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
The suspect, a female in her 20s, faces potential charges of auto theft, felony eluding, property damage and DUI.
