EAST LOS ANGELES ( KTLA) -- A big rig loaded with big screen TVs overturned Saturday, blocking a major intersection that connects the East L.A. interchange to truck traffic coming out of the Commerce train depot.
The accident happened at the four street intersection of Telegraph Rd, Triggs St, So. Atlantic Blvd and Ferguson Dr just after 11:00 a.m.
CHP and L.A. County fire officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
The intersection was completely closed down for the better part of an hour.
Several hundred TVs were packed inside the truck. They had to be off-loaded before the truck could be righted and removed from the intersection.
Investigators will look at several possible causes of the crash including how fast the driver was going and the wind gusts in the area.
