FULLERTON (KTLA) -- A sex offender with 9 prior convictions has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after he was found with a massive stash of child pornography, including photos showing children being tortured and mutilated, authorities said Tuesday.

Vaughn Robert Biby, 47, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one felony count each of possession and control of child pornography, and sexual exploitation of a child, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office.

Prosecutors say Biby's prior convictions were for lewd and lascivious acts on minors in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Biby was arrested in March 2010 after authorities found what they described as a "huge stash" of child pornography indexed inside his home. Investigators say the children in the hundreds of thousands of photos and videos appeared to range in age from infant to pre-pubescent.

Police also uncovered binoculars with cameras built into them in Biby's house and car, as well as hundreds of game tokens for use at the children's restaurant, "Chuck-E-Cheese."

Biby's car was also filled from floor to ceiling with child porn, investigators said.

Biby pleaded guilty just as his jury trial was set to get under way.
