YREKA, Calif. -- A woman is suing an Southern California "marital aid" manufacturer for personal injury and emotional duress.
In her lawsuit, April Bonjour claims she and her boyfriend were using a vibrator made by Pipedream Products when she suddenly felt a sharp pain and began bleeding profusely.
"My boyfriend quickly removed the toy, it was covered in blood. I thought, very briefly, that I had started my period but as the bleeding continued, getting heavier and heavier I knew it was not my period," Bonjour wrote in her claim.
Bonjour says she grew faint from the loss of blood and her boyfriend called 911.
Once at the hospital, Bonjour's condition stabilized after she was administered several pints of blood.
Bonjour says she contacted Pipedreams Products demanding compensation, but the company refused to pay her.
So she is now suing the company for personal injury, negligence, and breach of warranty.
