SYLMAR -- A 17 year old boy was stabbed to death at his Sylmar home Saturday, and police have arrested his 20 year old sister.
Parris Reed was found slashed and bleeding around 8:40 a.m. Saturday in an apartment buildig in the 12100 block of San Fernando Road, according to Los Angeles police Officer April Harding of the Media Relations Section.
Reed was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested his 20-year-old sister, Amber Reed, at the apartment.
She was being held in lieu of $1 million bail for suspicion of murder, Harding said.
Detectives say the two were arguing over money when Amber Reed grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her brother in the chest.
Their mother was home at the time of the incident, a Los Angeles police officer said.
