LOS ANGELES -- Listen up "Star Trek" fans. A piece of Hollywood history is hitting the auction block this weekend.

Actor Leonard Nimoy is putting his "Spock Ears" from "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" on the auction block, to raise cash for charity.

Nimoy is being honored at the Company of Angels Charity gala in Los Angeles this weekend. So, he decided to clean out his closet , and sell one of the most prized pieces of "Star Trek" history.

The ears are valued at $10,000 and are expected to fetch well over that price at the auction.

Also for sale are action figures and one-of-a-kind "Star Trek" memorabilia donated by William Shatner and George Takei.

The Oct. 17 auction marks the 50th anniversary of Los Angeles' oldest non-profit theater.
