German Alex Romero and a friend were riding their bicycles around 9 p.m. April 20 along De Soto Ave. in the area of Valerio Street when the teenager was struck from behind by a vehicle.
When police arrived, the victim was found dead on a sidewalk while distraught family members looked on.
Romero was a senior at Chatsworth High School.
Today, police announced the arrests of 23-year old Dominique Rush of Oxnard and Steven Rush, 44, of Porter Ranch.
Rush is facing charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony hit and run.
She is being held on $100,000 bail at the Van Nuys jail.
Her father, Steven was arrested for allegedly helping his daughter conceal the crime after the fact.
His bail was set at $20,000.
