MARINA DEL REY, Calif. ( KTLA ) -- A 4-year-old boy has died after falling from the third floor of a Marina del Rey apartment complex.
The fall was reported around 6:15 p.m. Sunday at the Mirabella apartment complex on the 13000 block of Marina Pointe Drive.
Coroner's officials have identified the boy as Nico Laurie.
According to Los Angeles Fire officials, Laurie fell through a third-story window screen onto a concrete walkway below.
The boy was found unconscious and barely breathing when emergency responders arrived. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m. Monday, officials said.
Police do not believe any foul play was involved. The boy's bunk bed was reportedly near the window.
"If you have your windows open you want to make sure that your children are supervised and make sure that you pay attention to where furniture is placed in rooms," LAPD Capt. Gary Walters said.
Police haven't said where the boy's parents were when the accident occurred.
