EAGLE ROCK -- A clerk at a Trader Joe's store in Eagle Rock was shot during a robbery Sunday night.
Two armed men entered the store in the 1500 block of Colorado Blvd. after it closed about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.
A third suspect waited in a vehicle outside.
The robbers demanded cash at gunpoint, and the clerk hit one of the suspects over the head with a wine bottle. The second suspect then shot the clerk in the leg.
The clerk was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive.
All three suspects fled in the getaway car.
