LONG BEACH (KTLA) -- A vehicle plowed through the front doors of a popular Long Beach restaurant around dinner time Thursday, striking two people in line.
The accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. at Tacos Don Chente on 101 East Pacific Coast Highway.
According to Long Beach Police, the driver of the vehicle, who may have been under the influence of alcohol, drove through a parking lot and into the front of the building.
Though the restaurant was busy only a male and a 3-year-old standing in line were struck.
The toddler was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
The man received minor injuries and did not request transport.
Long Beach Fire Department officials and city building safety inspectors are currently conducting an investigation into the structural integrity of the building.
