VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KTLA) -- Sheriff's deputies arrested a man Saturday they say forced sex acts with a victim with a mental handicap that lived in the same home.
The victim had a mental capacity of someone younger than 14-years-old, according to a news release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies responded about 12:50 p.m. to a report of a sex crime at a home near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Wedgewood Way. An investigation revealed that a family member saw Darryl Barrick, 54, force the victim to commit a sex act, according to the new release.
Deputies arrested Barrick without incident on suspicion of forcing sex acts with a victim younger than 14-years-old.
He was booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. His bail was set at $100,000.
