LAKEWOOD, N.J. (WPIX)—
A Lakewood father was charged with criminal child neglect after police say he left his 9-month-old baby in a 119-degree car for over an hour Wednesday.According to Lakewood authorities, Pinchus Blachorsky was supposed to drop off his son at a daycare center earlier in the day but forgot that the child was in the backseat.
Instead, Blachorsky followed his regular routine and went to work. Police say when the child's mother called to find out where the child was, Blachorsky rushed out of work and found his son still in the car unconscious.
The infant was rushed to a Monmouth Medical Center where he is said to be in stable condition.
Blachorsky was charged with criminal child neglect. He faces up to a year in jail and a $10,000 fine, if convicted.
