WOODLAND HILLS -- Two women were injured in a violent home-invasion robbery carried out by two other women and two men in an upscale part of Woodland Hills early Sunday, authorities said.

The victims were part of a four-woman group putting on a party at at 22146 Mulholland Drive.

Two men armed with guns with two women forced their way into the house and ended up pistol-whipping two of the party-throwers, said Officer Karen Rayner of LAPD's Media Relations. A total of eight people in the residence were robbed, police said.

The two injured victims were treated at a hospital.

One of the female robbers was reportedly wearing a red shirt, while the other woman and one of the male assailants wore black hooded sweatshirts, police said.

According to Rayner, all of the suspects were black and between the ages of 25 and 30.

A video news crew reported the home was owned by a record company affiliated with a prominent entertainer.

The suspects all fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash and jewelry.
