The show is based on professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his 25,000 square foot warehouse named the "Fantasy Factory". The factory is a space for Dyrdek to manage both aspects of his life: business and pleasure. Essentially, the space is meant to make Dyrdek's fantasy comes true, hence the title of the show.
