First-ever Hall of Fame Inductees Garth Brooks and John Williams host the evening featuring guest performers Roger Daltrey, Angelique Kidjo, Frederica Von Stade and Trisha Yearwood, as well as the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for the Music Matters benefit concert.

Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl 2009, Friday, June 19, at 8:30 p.m. featuring two musical powerhouses - opera legend Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and renowned
singing sensation Josh Groban as they are inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. The event marks the 10th Anniversary of the Hall of Fame and features previous inductees: hosts Garth Brooks and John Williams, and guest performers, Roger Daltrey and Trisha Yearwood. Additional former inductees, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Founding
Director John Mauceri and entertainer Eric Idle, will also be present. The special evening also features performances by Angelique Kidjo and Frederica Von Stade and a spectacular Fireworks Finale. Proceeds support Music Matters, the LA PHIL's varied and far- reaching music education programs.
