The kid inventors Gayle featured were:

Halle Redfearn, 11, "Catipod" inventor: It is a collapsible, portable canopy she created out of Bubblewrap, developed to temporarily shield the homeless from outdoor elements. Plastic tubing at intervals give form to the Bubblewrap, which provides cover and captures body heat. Halle took it outside on a 30-degree evening, laid down in it and within an hour the temperature was 70-degrees.

Halle's brother, Joe Redfearn, 15, thought of the "Pop Pocket": It's a unique portable insulated sleeve made of Bubblewrap designed to help keep canned drinks cold at the beach.

Nina Yadlowsky, 13 invented the "Drain Wheel": It is basically a water wheel placed inside the drain of a kitchen or other faucets. It takes the excess water used for washing hands, dishes, etc. to create electricity that could power household appliances.
