The winter/spring season
•The 79-day meet runs Thursdays through Sundays until April 22. Special holiday Monday racing this Monday (Jan. 16 – Martin Luther King Day) and Monday, Feb. 20 (Presidents' Day).
•Santa Anita plays a big part on the "Road to the Kentucky Derby." Many of the country's best three-year old horses will race here in hopes of faring well enough to advance to the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May. A number of those horses are right here in the barn of Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert
•General admission tickets are just $5 every day
