Gayle Anderson was live in Pasadena for preview day at the "CALIFORNIA CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE AUCTION". Saturday, June 5th, Bator International, Inc. is hosting the 1st ANNUAL CALIFORNIA CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE AUCTION at the Pasadena Convention Center. The auction showcases one of the largest collections of vintage motorcycles and features more than 150 rare, collectible bikes, including motorcycle legend Bob Stark's never before available personal collection. As the owner of Starklite Cycle, the world's largest supplier of quality Indian motorcycle parts and accessories, Bob Stark has spent 67 years working with Indian Motorcycles. He has restored and rebuilt bikes for motorcycle lovers, such as Steve McQueen. Until now, his personal collection has only been seen at his museum.
The auction will feature motorcycles from all over the world from Harley Davidson, Indian, Ariel, Brough, Triumph and more. Highlights include:
*1917 Indian Twin Model B-17, one of three in the world known to exist,
*1941 Indian Dispatch Tow in perfect condition; the last ever produced 1939 Brough Superior SS100;
*1953 Indian Chief will all original NOS parts; an extremely rare 1968 Sammy Pierce V-Twin Indian Scout;
*1971 Muench Mammut TTS 1200cc in exceptional original condition
Also, collectors and aficionados of classic bikes will find a few miscellaneous classic cars and bicycles in the mix. Certain bikes expected to reach the $300,000 mark.
The California Classic Motorcycle auction is Saturday, June 5th at 10:30 am. Doors open for the auction at 9 am. Potential bidders and the general public are welcome to view all the selections during a preview on Friday, June 4th from 9 am to 6 pm. Admission is $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday, with two-day passes available for $20. Admission for children under 14 accompanied by a parent are free. All bidders must register and get a "bidder's number" in order to buy at the auction sale by leaving a $300 deposit, which is refundable if the bidder doesn't win any bids. Payment for any winning bids is due on the day of the sale.
