The INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW (IEAS) opens today through Sunday, August 21st at the Ontario Convention Center. Presented by the Ontario Auto Center, the INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW is San Bernardino and Riverside Counties' largest auto show featuring new 2011-model cars and concepts for enthusiasts, the ever popular "Ride & Drive" for consumers in the market for a new set of wheels and fun for the whole family with the Make-A-Wish-sponsored Kid Zone, a complete indoor activity play area with activities ranging from inflatables and face painting to games for all ages, and other fun-filled activities.
General Motors, Toyota and Chrysler will be participating in this year's Ride & Drive program. Showgoers will have the chance to climb behind the when of today's most exciting new cars and trucks for a test drive on a special driving route near the convention center. The FREE Ride & Drive is a great way to experience the latest models in a no hassle, no sales pressure atmosphere. Remember to show up and sign up early for your exclusive test drive. GM, Toyota and Chrysler will each give away 100 vouchers good for a free food item at any of the gourmet food trucks onsite.
New to the IEAS for 2011 is the weekend-long Food Truck Festival, featuring the unique gourmet menus of some of the best food trucks in Southern California. Twelve trucks provided by Gourmet Food Trucks, LLC are scheduled to serve their delights throughout the operating hours at the INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW.
On Friday night from 5 pm to 8 pm, the IEAS features the Great Taste Friday, which gives attendees the opportunity to sample food and wine from over 20 of IE's best restaurants and wineries. The Great Taste allows attendees to travel the world culinary style and savor food from Argentina to Zimbabwe for FREE with admission to the 2011 INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW.
The Southern California Section of the PGA of America (SCPGA) will host a FREE event with paid admission to the IEAS on Saturday, August 20th from 4 pm to 9 pm. SCPGA will host golf club demonstrations, autograph-signing sessions and product giveaways. In addition, SCPGA will showcase the latest in interactive driving ranges and putting greens, along with PGA Professionals and staff members on hand to provide a golf lesson for those new to the sport of golf, or a tune up lesson for those who are looking to improve their game.
Sunday, August 21st is Family Day at the INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW. While Dad checks out the latest concept cars, kids can enjoy the Make-A-Wish Kid Zone. Don't forget to pick up your raffle ticket from the Make-A-Wish booth and you may win one of many great prizes. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives to children living with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work.
