    The Pasadena Tournament of Roses named Evanne Elizabeth Friedmann as the 93rd Rose Queen on October 19, 2010. This announcement concludes a month-long process that began with more than 1,000 Pasadena-area young women who participated in tryouts. Queen Evanne was selected from the recently appointed seven-member Royal Court. The Rose Queen and Royal Court reigns over the 2011 New Year's Day festivities, including the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game.
